Pure Knowledge Reality

The Purusha-Sukta of the Rigveda describes one of the greatest visions of the Supreme Being (Rigveda, X. 90). This is the highest object of spiritual meditation with form. Vishnu-Sukta said:

“Just as the eye spreads in space (seeing the expanse), the wise always see the Supreme State of Vishnu. The wise Brahmins who are always spiritually awake, sing in various ways and illuminate this, that the State of Vishnu the Highest.” —Rigveda, I. 22. 20, 21.

The Upanishads (Skanda) later, who mentioned these verses, said that “this is the Vedic teaching for achieving Salvation, and this is a secret doctrine.

Many other small Upanishads cite these verses as the substance of their teaching and this is also used as a colophon of many Vedic hymns. These and the famous hymns of Purusha, with Nasadiya-Sukta, are as if the amount and substance of the Vedic vision of the Highest as endowed with the best conceptual qualities brought to the level of perfection.

One way in which meditation about Jiva is practiced is through a process of recession from all effects to the Highest Cause. The earth is dissolved by water, water is drained by fire, fire is extinguished by air, air is absorbed by space, space is lost in Virat-Purusha or the God of the universe. Even this Purusha is an expression of the Cosmic Fine Energy which, again, is an expression of the Cosmic Mind. Cosmic Mind unites in Cosmic Intelligence and Cosmic Intelligence joins in the Unmanifest, Indescribable Primordial Nature, Mula-Prakriti, the Undisputed Power of Transcendental Objectivity. Exceeding the limits of the condition of this final cause opens the consciousness of existence which is the Absolute, Brahman.

This meditation is practiced through progressive transcendence from low conditions with the help of unceasing persistence in trying to dwell in a deeper and wider awareness every time. Every human has the power to do this,

It would not be out of place to paraphrase here, in brief, the essence of what Patanjali said about yoga:

Yoga is a barrier to the modification of the mind. This leads to resting Self in its basic nature. Mental modification control is done through practice. From all this, practice is an effort to secure stability in meditation. It becomes established when practiced for a long time, without rest, and with perfect devotion.

Dispassion is the mastery awareness that is achieved through the desire for objects both seen and heard. Higher than that is impatience even for primal modes of existence, which are achieved through Self-awareness. Quick success for those who practice intensely with the establishment of Yoga. Affirmation Practices must be done on One Reality. Then, consciousness is filled with Truth.

We can see also in the Upanishads, how not always seekers devote themselves to the Pure Absolute, but there are many who are self-satisfied with the relative realization of cosmic forces, even though they are intended to lead to the Absolute. Some mystics practice meditation through two processes:

  • regard the entire universe as the Mass of the Cosmic Gods they worshiped, and
view the universe as infinite with infinite identical forms of Deity with worship.

Here, the factor that helps Absolute Integration, after achieving objective integration, is the Grace of Universal Existence. Divine Grace is the Awareness or Attraction of a passage to all eight that is stronger and more real than the natural spiritual passage and drive that encourages the soul to know itself, basically when it submits its consciousness to the Whole Awareness, that is, when it crosses the territory gravity of the disintegration and diversification of nature and entering the realm of the drive for integration, the Power of Awareness-Truth, has the power of its spiritual gravity that moves towards Real Beings.
